Daily New Beginnings

DAILY NEW BEGINNINGS

Every family needs a new beginning. A New Year seems to give us all just that!

But the truth is, YOUR FAMILY GROWTH REQUIRES DAILY NEW BEGINNINGS!

What does that really mean?  I believe it is “refusing to drag yesterday’s frustrations, hurt feelings and pressures into the ONE DAY you are currently living!”

It is simply “FOCUSING  on NOW and finding fulfillment in ONE DAY lived well.”

Whatever goal we have recently declared over our family will definitely seem more realistic if broken down into a step-by-step path of 24-hour increments.

Have you ever looked at your calendar and do list, and actually felt tired just thinking about all you had to do? Even if you are truly excited about the new opportunities and experiences ahead of you, it can be overwhelming to look at the weeks and months ahead.

Our minds are geared to create, experience, act and react in THE NOW! Yet, our tendency is to look back or look ahead, and MISS BEING TOTALLY PRESENT in each moment we live!

This is particularly crucial for us, as leaders in our home.  YOUR FAMILY NEEDS YOU NOW….TODAY!

And the good news is “Today is manageable! Today is Not out of reach!” Your goals, in the context of one day, are not beyond your ability to grasp.

Living one day at a time breaks the big challenges into small but consistent victories. “One day living” can maintain a healthy DIRECTION for you and your family! The pace is never as important as “where you are headed”!

If you have little ones, maybe today’s step toward keeping the house more orderly is simply starting with a “no clothes on the floor “strategy. Side note, last year I read several “Declutter“ books and evidently it is a challenge for all of us. That daily making a new step in our daily routine and organization works!

The reality is: SMALL STEPS ARE KEY FOR “BIG CHANGE” IN ANY AREA!

If you have teenagers (Or even grown-up children), you can create a healthy direction choosing to have at least one conversation a day that you are not correcting or doing all the talking, but listening and showing interest in whatever they

Be encouraged! Your family is not hopeless or abnormal. Your choice to live your life intentionally engaged in one day (TODAY!) can change everything!

As we celebrate the small daily victories, we can truly enjoy our family and live in strength and hope for a better tomorrow.

Remember today is a gift. Our families grow up and we realize that our days together are truly treasures. So enjoy whatever season your family is in! TODAY IS YOUR DAY!!❤️

Never Give Up!
